Anyways, I'm supposed to post some pictures during my trip to Bandung but there was nothing really interesting because the trip was last minute with no proper planning (itinerary, map etc). So, A-HA! Why don't I buy Batik cloth? It's expensive in Malaysia but cheap in Bandung, Indonesia. Yes, "So, Fiona, you go get the famous batik cloth..grrr.."
The whole experience was wet, cold, damp because it rained every day.
And...those who really know me, I'm not really interested with shopping abroad. I'm not a what-they-called-'fashionista', nor someone who is brand conscious. Yes, I do agree that most ladies love to shop. I love to shop too but my hunger for knowledge overcomes that 'itch' to shop. heeeheee...
Travel, to me, is a chance for me to learn about things that I don't know, knowledge that is not found nor can be experienced in my own country. For example, history and cultures, lores, myths and legends. You see, other than learning about one country's history and cultures from books or websites, I could learn from the locals. Who knows better about its history and cultures other than the locals themselves? That's even better than books because I think most of these books were not written by the locals but foreigners who went, visited or stayed for a short period, which I find too short to really understand one's culture etc. I think most of the content of these books or articles or whatever written texts are mostly based on their perceptions.
As a Malaysian, I don't even know much about my own hometown needless to say the country. (huuuu..)
So, in Bandung...I can remember clearly that I spend a lot of time in the car. Shopping part...errmm..just vividly. So, it was not that pleasant because of the traffic. But, I definitely remember Donatella, (I think that's the name...)because my feet said, the shoes there, are very comfortable....and sexayy..Y(^_^)Y. Please..feet don't lie.
About the accomodation, the hotel's food is alright. Bed's fine, AC is great, channels are funny and entertaining, and so is the heater. There is something about the heater that I want to share...I can't help myself hearing Katy Perry singing in my head when I was taking my bath, "you change your mind like a girl changes clothes..la-la-la- PMS like a bitch, la-la-la you're hot then you're cold la-la-la you don't really want to stay, no, but you don't really wanna go-o.". Yes, the bloody heater was having mood swings! It's hot then it's cold. It's low then it's high. Jeez..man, it was already very cold in the morning, with its mood swings..I was freezing. So, I dreaded going to take my bath the whole time. Imagine the heater, a woman, me, a man.
Fuh! I can imagine how a man feels having a girlfriend or a wife who always has mood swings. Ahh! Terrible!
So, that's about it. Nothing very very very interesting. I hope in the next time I travel, my brain would be full.
