There was a death on the road

Other than my brother in the red shirt, do you see anything significant? Of course you don't.The insignificant death happened less than a week ago...

It was a Saturday night, Baby R. was playing by the roadside, looked cute with big ears. I was shocked when Baby R. crossed the road hastily without looking left and right and I was worried for Baby R. for a change. Fortunately, there was no car so Baby R. crossed the road safely. My family and I were having our meals at the time. Although I know Baby R. had crossed the road safely but I couldn't help myself wondering about Baby R. that I had to put down my chopsticks and watched Baby R.

It seemed that Baby R. is trying to get over the divider but Baby R. couldn't because of the short legs. Baby R. tried numerous of time but failed so Baby R. decided to turn back. Baby R., again did not look left and right before crossing from the other side. My heart stopped when Baby R. suddenly lingered in the middle of the road.

Then, a Hilux passed by...and missed Baby R...then a Wira passed by...and pheww...missed Baby R. again. My heart stopped beating whenever a car passed by. In my heart, I kept on telling Baby R. to cross the bloody road quickly!

Baby R. somehow responded to my callings...and started to crossed but...pity...Baby R. was too late...A Kancil finally claimed Baby R.'s life... I cried in my heart as I watched Baby R. twitching before a Wira finally claimed Baby R.'s life. My heart feels sorrow whenever I recall the scene.

I didn't go near Baby R. as my mother told me not to go near Baby R. so I don't really know if the Kancil had squashed Baby R.'s body/head. So, I took the photo above from afar...as I was forbidden to go near Baby R. By the way, Baby R. was not even sent to the hospital for post mortem...poor thing...

I don't know if you know who or what Baby R. was but even if Baby R. was a what but it is still a life. When a life is taken, it is a sad thing.

I think I was the only one who witness that incident. Being able to notice a small creature moving about like that...I guess I am indeed observant..Oh, yeah, so I was told...by another Saggitarian. Yeah, I am a Saggitarian. Anyways, let me proceed...

People who know me know that i have small palms and small hands but not small arms..^0^
Baby R. was less half the size of my fist. Oh..if you don't know..Baby R. was a rat.

I just wonder how insignificant life could be if no one actually notice...If I was never to know that the rat was run over by a car...I guess nobody would even notice.

Just imagine if you or I have died and no one notice and were left to rot on the road and exposed under the scorching sun and still no one noticed...and even if they noticed..they would not care less...now wouldn't that be painful?

I know I have to conclude this piece but I'd prefer to leave you thinking about it.

monologku: Life is precious no matter who you are or what you are..remember that Baby R., I saw what happened to you and you have my deepest sympathy...
